How the cleanup works

The migration tooling below is on our launch roadmap, not yet live. Here is how the cleanup is designed to work:

  1. Upload your CSV. We accept up to 100 MB.
  2. Column mapping. We auto-detect which columns are names, emails, phones, tiers, renewal dates. You confirm or adjust.
  3. Normalization. Phone numbers reformatted to E.164. Emails lowercased. Names title-cased. Addresses validated against Canada Post / USPS.
  4. Duplicate detection. Fuzzy match on email + name + organization. You see a side-by-side preview of every candidate duplicate before merging.
  5. Required field validation. Missing required fields surfaced before commit. Rows that can't be salvaged are exported as a "rejected" CSV with reasons.
  6. Preview. First 5 rows rendered as they will appear post-import. You approve.
  7. Commit. Members imported, audit log written, undo available for 7 days.

Pricing

  • Free for organizations on an annual plan. We call this Concierge migration. A Sembr team member runs the import with you over a 30-minute Zoom.
  • $499 one-time for organizations on monthly billing. Same Concierge service.
  • Self-serve, no cost if you'd rather do it yourself. The same upload + cleanup tool, no human in the loop.

What about my Stripe customers?

If you're already on Stripe Connect with your old platform, our goal is to preserve your existing Stripe customer IDs so members don't get charged a "new card" message and their saved card continues to work. Per-platform details will be documented as each source is validated ahead of launch.

Timeline

Target Concierge timelines at launch:

  • 75 to 400 member org: typical Concierge migration completes in 1 afternoon, including review.
  • 400 to 2,000 member org: 1 to 2 days, with cleanup checkpoint after duplicate detection.
  • 2,000+ member org: 2 to 4 days. We'll batch by tier or chapter.
